The Applicant shall be proposed and seconded by Club Members in good standing who have been members of the Club for at least 6 months, both of whom shall sign this form as indicated. In the event that these members are not Committee Members, the Applicant shall be introduced to 2 Committee Members who shall countersign this form.
Appilcation form, duly completed, shall be forwarded to the Yacht Club Administrator together with a proof of payment covering the ENTRANCE FEE of R1500 and One-Years SUBSCRIPTION.
Application form may be posted on the Club Notice Board for at least 4 weeks and in due course, the Applicant may be called to appear before the committee.
Approval of this application shall be by ballot at a committee meeting whereby at least two-thirds of those present shall vote in favour.
The Committee shall not give reasons for a rejection, and a rejected Applicant may not be proposed again for at least 6-months thereafter.
Until this application is approved in writing by the Yacht Club Administrator, the Applicant shall not receive any privileges of membership.
The Applicant agrees to avail themselves to assist and/or partake in at 3 Club Events over the first 12-months of their membership. This includes assistance in Mark Laying, Safety Boat, Bridge or in the participation of Club Sailing Events and Regatta's.
The Applicant agrees to accept a credit check if necessary and hereby agrees that the personal information included on this application may be displayed on the Club Notice Board as stipulated above, and only for the period required.
The Applicant hereby agrees to familiarize themselves with the Stilbaai Yacht Club Constitution, which can be found on the SYC Website.
